Team Biochem’s Members of the Week
Week 7 (July 4-10)
Each week, we’ll be highlighting two or three members of Team Biochem, as well as one of our favorite E v B fanworks of theirs. This is a completely informal event, but we thought this would be a great way to point out a couple of our fantastic team members. If you don’t see your name this week, don’t worry! Every team member will be promoted by the time Engineering vs Biochem concludes. This week’s members are:
@agent-85: If you’ve been in the FitzSimmons fandom for any considerable length of time, then you’ve undoubtedly had the pleasure of seeing some of Jane’s writing. After all, she’s written over 75 stories on AO3 alone, and she has no intention of stopping! With her 52 stories in 52 weeks, Jane has taken it upon herself to write a story for every week of the year - which is pretty spectacular, if you ask us! In addition to being stellar with words, Jane is also an incredibly sweet person. An anon once told her that she’s a “beautiful cinnamon roll too good for this world, too pure, & too FitzSimmons,” and the description is spot-on. Her values give her an integrity that is often a rare find, especially on Tumblr, and her sweetness and support of others is definitely appreciated. The FitzSimmons fandom - and Team Biochem! - is a better place with Jane.
Our Fanwork Fave: Journey into Mystery: A Choose Your Own FitzSimmons Adventure. Ever wonder what might happen if you were able to see FitzSimmons through Daisy’s eyes? This super fun adventure puts YOU, the reader, in Daisy’s position as she attempts to ensure that FitzSimmons end up together. The link above is for AO3, but be sure to follow the adventure on Tumblr, send in prompts, and vote for how you’d like the story to unfold! You really don’t want to miss this exciting activity for the summer hiatus.
@fitzsimmmonns: While we have many talented writers on the team, among our most talented giffers is Nikki! Throughout the E v B challenge, Nikki has created so many beautiful gifsets, all of which have blown us away. Her coloring is spectacular (we need her to teach us her ways), the quotes she uses are scarily applicable to FitzSimmons, and the scenes she chooses to juxtapose make our heart swell with feels. But making gorgeous gifsets is not the full extent of Nikki’s awesomeness. She’s also an exceptionally supportive team member - reblogging fandom creations, adding lovely comments and tags, and just being an all-around great person to have on the team. We can’t wait to see what she creates next!
Our Fanwork Fave: Ineffable. This gifset, showcasing just some of the many time FitzSimmons have communicated without words, completely took our breath away. The moments she chose to include are some of the most iconic FS wordless moments, but there are also a few rare ones peppered throughout. This gifset really emphasizes the importance of the FitzSimmons relationship. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you definitely should!
@recoveringrabbit: Amongst the throngs of brilliant writers in this fandom, Rabbit truly gifts us all with her amazing works, both short and long (which, hey, you won’t see any of us eager fans complaining)! In addition to her fabulous creations, she’s a true supporter of everyone in the fandom and always adds the nicest comments. Rabbit is a pleasure to have on our team and an absolute beauty to this entire fandom. We are so grateful for all that she does!
Our Fanwork Fave: Potent As Blood. If you’ve snooped into any of the archives of FS fics, you’ve likely heard about and read Rabbit’s absolutely amazing fic, Murder by Mistake. We were so thrilled by the news that she’s writing an extension of the series in this awesome summer follow-up! This whodunit tale with leave you eagerly questioning every person FS meets and will have you sighing at all of the beautiful and love-filled moments between our amateur ‘detectives,’ Fitz and Simmons!
